The practice cases make the Academy cumulative. Instead of inventing a different company for every exercise, learners can reuse the same operating context and watch one AI program develop from discovery through production governance.

Available Case

Harborline Services

A fictional 240-person business-services company with customer support, finance, marketing, HR, and internal operations. The case contains synthetic emails, tickets, invoice records, policy excerpts, customer feedback, baseline metrics, and governance constraints.

Use the case when you do not have safely redacted examples from your own organization. All records are fictional and intentionally include ambiguity, missing information, and control failures.

How to Work with a Case

  1. Start with the baseline workflow and owner.
  2. Use only the supplied evidence; do not invent missing facts.
  3. Define an explicit output contract.
  4. Include at least one normal, ambiguous, and prohibited case.
  5. Record the human decision, not just the model output.
  6. Carry corrections forward into later lessons.

A case artifact is complete when another learner can reproduce the decision from the same inputs.
